Beaches, Sunning, Swimming, Snorkeling, Surfing, Scuba Diving
On-site - lounge in one of the three heated pools, three Jacuzzis & pool bar pools, or simply amble across the street to the beautiful white sand beach and sparkling waters of the Pacific Ocean. Modano Beach is world famous, as are many other beaches in the area, such as the secluded and picturesque Lover's Beach, near Cabo San Lucas. Surf from a beautiful beach with a surf instructor that can give you some pointers and stay by your side as you surf and/or boogie board.

With clear warm waters there are great SCUBA diving opportunities. Guided scuba diving tours and scuba diving instruction and snorkeling are all available. The water can be exceptionally clear from June to November with visibility reaching a hundred feet. Seasonally there are some fantastic marine mammals such as whale sharks, giant mantas, migrating whales, sea lions, sharks, huge schools of game fish, many varieties of tropical fish and so much more!

Horseback riding for all levels of ability is available at several stables in the Los Cabos area. Guided tours on rented horses are available and it's a great way to experience the desert and its many mysteries. You could see many quail, some coyotes, wild horses, and rabbits. You will also experience the awe of riding through narrow canyons and amazing rock formations.

San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas offer world-famous deep-sea sport-fishing where deep sea fishing has produced world-record Blue Marlin, Swordfish, and Sailfish on a regular basis. There is more striped marlin caught within 20 miles of Cabo San Lucas year round than any place in the world. Catches over 1000 pounds are not uncommon. There are over 500 fishing boats based in the area, from the moderately priced 20 to 24 foot Pangas, to custom-fitted Pangas, to custom-fitted state of the art luxury fishing yachts for hire. Half day, full-day, or multi-day fishing excursions are easily booked, as are upscale trips offering live-aboard luxury accommodations and gourmet meals.

Sailing, Parasailing, and Sea-Kayaking         Back to Index
With calm waters most of the time, the goings-on in the bay are a spectator sport alone. Paddle kayaks and canoes, at about $10 to $15 per hour or rent a windsurfer for about $15 an hour. Parasailing - strapping yourself into a harness connected to a large reel of tow rope attached to a boat is going to give you the ride of your life. Floating above the sparking waters of Cabo is fun, easy and safe. Parasailing rates are from about $30 for 10 minutes on a 600-foot line. There are several companies in Cabo San Lucas to choose from, as well as one in San José del Cabo.

Get out and mingle with the whales or enjoy a Pacific sunset in a tranquil sailboat or kayak. There are sea kayaks and tandem kayaks available for rent as well as sailboats. There are also sailboat tours available in numerous places.
